Wharfedale Biking Guide Book

Wharfedale Biking Guide

Based in the Grassington area of Wharfedale in the Yorkshire Dales, the Wharfedale Biking Guide Book has six selected mountain bike runs averaging a modest 8 miles each. They concentrate on quality of terrain and surroundings in preference to quantity and ‘head-down’ mileage, and are best described as ‘leisure rides with climbing’ rather than endurance tests.

Places visited include Linton, Mastiles Lane, Bolton Abbey and Appletreewick. As much of the routes as possible are off-road, and surfaced sections are largely on quiet country lanes.

Though in North Yorkshire, there is relative ease of accessibility from the West Yorkshire and East Lancashire towns to this favourite valley of the Yorkshire Dales.

This short 32-page book is easily carried and has concise route descriptions and sketch maps complemented by background information and illustrations capturing the flavour of the surroundings.
